Do you only accept new stuffed animals?

  • This year we have decided to collect only new items.  While we have a need for gently used stuffed animals, we still have a collection of stuffed animals donated last year that we are still distributing.  (Past Info: No.  We collect both new and gently used stuffed animals.  But we do ask you to use your discretion.  Please find other homes for your well used stuffed animals.  (Those stuffed animals include any weird smells, tears, missing eyes, etc…))

  • We would greatly appreciate any financial donations.  While our costs are small, they still exist.  Any additional money collected will be used to buy new stuffed animals, toys, socks or sweaters, especially for the sensitive crimes unit.
  • We also collect donations year round to help fulfill the purpose of Shielded Hearts, an organization of women finding hope in police life through education, friendship, service and faith.

  1. Hello,

I was wondering during which months do you Only collect stuffed animals? I would like to know for next year 2013, so I can plan accordingly to have stuffed animals donated to Shielded Hearts.

I hope to hear from you soon.

    Thank you

    • We normally host our public stuffed animal RoundUp’s from the middle of November until the middle of December at many local police departments. Check back next fall for details!

      Thank You!!
